by Car Digest
May 28, 2023

MINI Coopers are known for their unique European styling, compact dimensions, and innumerable customizable options, including various roof and mirror color variations. On top of that, racing stripes, Union Jack paint jobs, and…well, we could go on. Drivers can even choose between gas-powered models and the all-electric 2024 MINI Cooper SE.

MINI Cooper Trims

The 2024 MINI Cooper has three trim levels to choose from, including the all-electric option. We’ll be discussing the different trims buyers can choose from, so you can determine the best options for your needs and budget. Note that each MINI Cooper is offered as a convertible or hardtop, except for the electric model.

Classic

The 2024 MINI Cooper Classic is offered in a number of variants. The two-door Hardtop Classic features the iconic bulging-eye headlights and large smiling grille, which starts at $25,800. It’s this cute design that has owners so enamored with their purchases. At an MSRP of $26,800, the 4-door option gives buyers have the choice between multiple body color options. Racing stripes and Union Jack mirror caps are optional add-ons.

Standard features include an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display, six-speaker audio, Apple CarPlay, synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear camera with parking sensors, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but buyers can upgrade to an automatic.

The base Cooper features a turbocharged 1.3-liter 3-cylinder engine that generates just 134 horsepower, making it the weakest of the bunch. The MINI Cooper S Hardtop Classic, which starts at $30,095, features a 189-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Meanwhile, the John Cooper Works Classic, starting at $36,395, features a 228-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.

If you don’t want the moonroof or navigation, you can opt for a heated and Nappa-leather-wrapped steering wheel, alarm system, cloth and faux leather upholstery, and roof rails instead.
