Meet the 2024 Ram 1500—a robust and refined powerhouse. Whether conquering challenging terrains or navigating city streets, the 2024 Ram 1500 sets a new standard for excellence, delivering a driving experience that seamlessly blends power, utility and comfort.
2024 Ram 1500 Trims
Focusing now on the new 2024 Ram 1500, there are a total of seven trims. All trucks have different cab and bed options, giving you more legroom or cargo space. The Crew and Quad Cabs are two of the larger options. Between the two, the Crew Cab gives you more rear legroom at approximately 45.2-inches while the Quad provides about 35.6-inches of legroom. However, the Quad Cab allows more cargo space with a 6’4″ box. The base Crew Cab only comes with a 5’7″ box unless buyers upgrade for the larger 6’4″ box that adds additional length to the overall vehicle.
Here, we’ll be comparing the lowest starting prices for each available trim.
Tradesman
The 2024 Ram 1500 Tradesman is the cheapest option, starting at $39,420. The transmission comes standard with an electric shift and engine oil cooler. The interior also comes with a 40/20/40 split-bench and vinyl floor covering for durability. The cabin comes equipped with a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, an audio jack input, six total speakers, remote USB port, and rear back-up camera.
The exterior of the Ram 1500 Tradesman is equipped with 18-inch steel wheels and all-season tires for maximum control. It also comes with a seven-pin wiring harness and a Class III receiver hitch. The Tradesman is rated for maximum towing of up to 7,730 pounds standard, while you can have a maximum payload of 2,100 pounds.
The Tradesman will do everything you need it to do without much flair. It doesn’t contain any particularly cutting-edge safety features, though. Drivers can find most of those features on the Lone Star trim.
Tradesman HFE
The 2024 Ram 1500 HFE comes in at $41,060. It is only a slight upgrade from the Tradesman model, giving you features like 20-inch chrome wheels, side steps, and a roll-up tonneau cover. However, you can only get this trim as a quad cab with a long bed.
Big Horn
The 2024 Ram 1500 Big Horn features 18-inch aluminum wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, and fog lamps. The trim also comes with chrome grille, front and rear bumpers, and door handles. An upgrade to a crew cab model also comes with in-floor storage. The same standard 5-inch touchscreen display from the Tradesman is also featured on this trim; however, the option to upgrade to an 8.4-in touchscreen is now available. The Big Horn MSRP starts at $44,585.
Laramie
The 2024 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab starts at $54,635. This trim is a luxurious option, which is ideal if you spend several hours in your truck every day. One of the best additions is leather seating with front (and rear) heating and (front) ventilation, along with an 8-way power driver and front passenger seats. No matter the season, you’ll always be comfortable.
Drivers will also gain an 8.4-inch or 12-inch standard touchscreen for infotainment input that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a 10-speaker premium sound system.
On top of the standard inclusions, drivers will have plenty of optional features to customize their truck. You can upgrade the interior while adding a sunroof, a heated second row or even a 19-speaker premium sound system. Additionally, you can add on safety features like a blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a surround-view parking camera – all as part of the Laramie’s Advanced Safety Group.
Rebel
Like the Laramie, the 2024 Ram 1500 Rebel is available only as a crew cab model. Four-wheel-drive comes standard. With a base MSRP of $59,3o0, the Rebel has a more rugged, off-road appearance. An aggressive, blacked-out version replaces the chrome grilles of the previous trims.
The Rebel comes equipped with various enhancements, such as a standard four-wheel drive, an elevated suspension, a higher torque/axle ratio, and an electronic rear-locking differential. in addition to towing package features, as well as advanced safety features, you’ll get plenty of bang for your buck with this trim. Among the included safety features are forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist and lane departure warning.
Most options carry over.
Limited Longhorn
The Limited Longhorn is only available in a Crew Cab configuration. The 2024 Laramie Longhorn starts at $61,395 and comes with premium leather seating. Genuine wood, leather, and metal all trim the cabin’s interior. It also has standard 20-inch aluminum wheels, along with chrome wheel-to-wheel side steps and front tow hooks on the exterior.
Other features include a 12-inch touch screen, power tailgate, heated and reclining rear seats, navigation, and front and rear parking sensors. And, once again, most options carry over.
Limited
With a starting MSRP of $65,810, this trim comes only as a crew cab. It boasts a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with wireless device charging. Other premium gains include standard air suspension, premium leather upholstery, upgraded front seats, and conveniences like power side steps. Available options include the 19-speaker Harmon Kardon Premium sound system. Adaptive cruise control and a self-parking system are available add-ons.
It should be noted that the towing capacity for the Limited is the highest at 8,420 lbs.
TRX
The 2024 Ram 1500 TRX is in its final year. It’s a performance-focused Ram 1500 model with unique branding, much like the Ford F-150 Raptor. Under the hood is where the Ram TRX really shines; it has a 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 SRT Engine. The specs are nothing short of breathtaking: 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. You’ll also gain full-time four-wheel drive, launch control, special performance engine cooling, a retuned suspension, and eight driving modes.
That being said, you probably could have guessed that the fuel economy is terrible, which is likely why it’s being discontinued. It gets a staggering 10 mpg in the city and 14 mpg on the highway. But that’s not the point of a powerhouse truck like this!
This supercharged truck comes at a supercharged starting price of $96,340.
