MINI Cooper Trims
The 2024 MINI Cooper has three trim levels to choose from, including the all-electric option. We’ll be discussing the different trims buyers can choose from, so you can determine the best options for your needs and budget. Note that each MINI Cooper is offered as a convertible or hardtop, except for the electric model.
Classic
The 2024 MINI Cooper Classic is offered in a number of variants. The two-door Hardtop Classic features the iconic bulging-eye headlights and large smiling grille, which starts at $25,800. It’s this cute design that has owners so enamored with their purchases. At an MSRP of $26,800, the 4-door option gives buyers have the choice between multiple body color options. Racing stripes and Union Jack mirror caps are optional add-ons.
Standard features include an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display, six-speaker audio, Apple CarPlay, synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear camera with parking sensors, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but buyers can upgrade to an automatic.
The base Cooper features a turbocharged 1.3-liter 3-cylinder engine that generates just 134 horsepower, making it the weakest of the bunch. The MINI Cooper S Hardtop Classic, which starts at $30,095, features a 189-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Meanwhile, the John Cooper Works Classic, starting at $36,395, features a 228-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
Signature
The MINI Cooper’s mid-level trim is the Signature, available starting at $30,800 for the two-door hardtop, $31,800 for the four-door hardtop and $35,700 for the convertible. This trims adds additional body color options. Besides the car body color, the roof and mirror cap colors can be customized to your liking.
The interior sees a major upgrade from the MINI Cooper Classic trim. A moonroof, heated seats, navigation and dual-zone automatic climate control all come standard at this price point. Buyers will also appreciate the proximity keyless entry. Even the wheels have an upgrade to a 16-inch alloy set.
If you don’t want the moonroof or navigation, you can opt for a heated and Nappa-leather-wrapped steering wheel, alarm system, cloth and faux leather upholstery, and roof rails instead.
Iconic
One of the top-of-the-line MINI Cooper models is the Iconic. The Iconic offers even more options and upgrades. Standard features of this trim level include premium leather upholstery, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, satellite radio, navigation and 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Other features include Apple CarPlay and wireless charging. On the exterior, the MINI Cooper Iconic sports LED headlights and taillights, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels.
The MINI Cooper Iconic starts at around $33,200 for the two-door hardtop and $34,200 for the four-door.
MINI Cooper SE Classic
Then, there’s the 2024 MINI Cooper SE electric hardtop. This all-electric version starts at $30,900. It features synthetic leather upholstery and heated front sport seats, as well as the 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and six-speaker stereo, The electric version offers a few more standard features than you get with the gas-powered models.
Among the standard features are Apple CarPlay, navigation, satellite radio, HD Radio and Bluetooth. Additionally, proximity keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel are included too.
Driver assistance features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning and a rearview camera.
The MINI Cooper SE features a 28.9-kWh battery. However, its battery power disappoints, getting only 114 miles of range. Fortunately, with the right equipment, it can charge up to 80% in little over a half hour. Meanwhile, the electric motor generates 181 horsepower.
SE Signature
The 2024 MINI Cooper SE Signature edition starts at $34,225. This version adds a panoramic moonroof and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. For another $1,750, you can choose between combination cloth and synthetic leather upholstery, or real leather upholstery.
SE Iconic
The SE Iconic, starting at $36,700, gives you the choice between combo faux leather and cloth seating or genuine leather without having to add on another package. It also gives you a Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel, a heads up display, and a garage door opener. Further, it provides adaptive cruise control and rear parking sensors.
