The 2024 Acura RDX is here with standard Amazon Alexa and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration features, as well as improved sound insulation. Also new are refreshed interior and exterior styling. It offers two drive options along with three packages that introduce new features you may want in your luxury SUV. We’ll be going over each package to help you figure out which brand-new redesigned Acura RDX is perfect for you.
Comparing RDX Trims
When you are shopping for the Acura RDX, you might feel a little overwhelmed with just how many options you have. This guide will take you through the essentials and hopefully make your experience a little easier and a lot more fun.
Powertrain
Now standard with the 2024 Acura RDX, drivers will get an all-wheel drivetrain with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. That is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy estimates are at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
Standard Features
The RDX has no shortage of luxury features to start drivers off with. There’s synthetic leather upholstery, with heated front seats, including a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A 10.2-inch touch display infotainment system comes standard and there’s a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. Voice-activated Amazon Alexa, wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot Bluetooth, and multiple USB ports are all available so you can stay connected to your devices.
Other luxury features include satellite radio, HD radio, nine-speaker audio and dual-zone climate control. The vehicle also includes a power liftgate and panoramic roof. In the way of safety features, you’ll get all the essentials, such as forward automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and much more.
The RDX also comes standard with complimentary AcuraLink services, including maintenance. The base RDX starts at $44,050.
Technology Package
For better tech, you can upgrade to the technology package for an extra $2,650. This brings the prices up to $46,700. This package adds or replaces standard features that may be found in the base 2024 Acura RDX model. The package includes a few luxury features that may be important to drivers. These include sport seats with a perforated leather-trimmed interior. It also upgrades audio system to a premium 12-speaker system and adds a smart key entry.
Drivers will also find improved media and connectivity with the addition of On-Demand Multi-Use Display, GPS-linked climate control, voice recognition for navigation and climate control, and Acura Navigation System with a 3-D view. This system also includes real-time traffic along with traffic rerouting, so you’ll never be late for work—or at least traffic can’t be your excuse anymore.
You may be surprised to know that the technology package has safety and driver assistance features included as well. You’ll have access to a Blind Spot Information System, front and rear parking sensors, and rear cross traffic monitoring.
A-Spec Package
The A-Spec model is a cleaned up, sportier take on the 2024 Acura RDX. It’ll come with unique badging, exhaust outlets, and interior trim. The 20-inch alloy wheels and the other gloss black accents on the car will turn heads everywhere you go. The front seats are heated and ventilated. The cabin has a red ambient lighting. Otherwise, it carries the same top-notch features as the other models. This package is $3K individually, however, it requires buyers to also purchase the Technology Package for a total additional cost of about $6K. Therefore, the A-Spec version starts at $49,700.
Advance Package
The final package you can choose from is the Advance Package. This upgrades comfort, technology, and convenience to make you look forward to driving every day. The package requires the addition of the Technology Package but not the A-Spec. The Advanced package starts at $51,850.
The interior of the advance package adds perforated Milano Premium leather seats with heated and ventilated front seats. The front seats also have 16-way power lumbar support and thigh extensions. On the exterior, the RDX has rain-sensing windshield wipers, remote engine start, auto-dimming side mirrors, and fog lights. Finally, safety features include the addition of a surround-view camera.
