2024 Hyundai Elantra: A Trim Comparison

by Car Digest
January 13, 2024

We rank the 2024 Hyundai Elantra in the middle of the pack of compact cars on the market. However, as is usually the case with Hyundai’s vehicles, it has a very competitive price point with the array of features that come standard.

New 2024 Hyundai Elantra Trims

The new Hyundai Elantra features a restyled exterior that provides this excellent compact car with a sportier look. In terms of trim options and features, Hyundai carries much over from the previous year, giving you five different gas trim options to choose from, plus two hybrid trims.  Read on to learn more!

2024 Hyundai Elantra

SE

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra SE trim is the least expensive option, with a starting MSRP of $21,475. It’s a great choice for drivers on a budget. It has some features that you may not find in similar sedans of the same price point, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, two USB ports, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and voice recognition. On top of this, you’ll get a four-speaker audio system and remote keyless entry.

The SE offers plenty in the way of safety features as well. For one, you’ll get a rearview camera as is standard with most vehicles as regulated by law. Other features that are standard with this vehicle are automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, lane follow assist, and lane keep assist. There are also features called safe exit warning and driver attention warning that are designed to ensure driver safety.

The Elantra SE is equipped with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine, which produces 147 horsepower. With its fairly small engine, this trim delivers an estimated 33 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway.

SEL

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra SEL begins at $23,425.  It gains a number of quality features to convince buyers to pay a little more. With this trim, drivers will get two more speakers and satellite radio.  Dual-zone climate control, push-button start,  a hands-free trunk, and an upgraded 10.25-inch touchscreen are perhaps the most noteworthy additions. However, with this system, you’ll only get wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

While those added features may satisfy some drivers, others will feel compelled to get the Convenience package for $1,750. This package adds features like voice recognition, and more driver assistance features such as forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection and adaptive cruise control. Further, it provides luxuries such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats and wireless device charging.

Limited

2024 Hyundai Elantra

The Limited trim starts at $26,915. It includes everything in the Convenience package. On top of this, you’ll get genuine leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and split-folding rear seats. Additional luxuries include ambient interior lighting, a sunroof and an eight-speaker stereo, as well as convenience features like a digital key, highway driving assist, rear collision warning and rear parking sensors. Lastly – LED headlights.

N Line

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N Line starts at around $29K and has one huge appeal: speed. This trim has a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine, which is capable of 201 horsepower. Despite the engine upgrade, it doesn’t suffer from poor fuel economy. The Elantra N Line gets up to 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Those are great numbers for a sporty vehicle!

The Elantra Line keeps most features available from previous trims. In addition to the safety focus, the Elantra N Line also adds interior and exterior styling such as combination cloth and leather seating for a more luxurious feel. A sport suspension system is included as well.

N

Hyundai Elantra N

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N is another performance-focused trim. It features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 275 horsepower – making it the most powerful trim you can get. You can pair with it a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. All interior features with the N Line are included with this model. Get it starting around $36K.

Hybrid Trims

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Blue starts at $27,400. This hybrid car comes with many of the same features as the base gas model, but it comes with a hybrid powertrain that generates 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Its fuel economy estimates are 53 mpg in the city and 56 mpg on the highway.

For $30,600, you can get the Hybrid Limited trim, which again, is similar to the gas version.
