The Kia Forte returns with refreshed trims that boast more standard features than ever before! And with these updates, the new Forte leaps to the top of the compact car segment, perhaps even becoming the de facto leader.
2024 Kia Forte Trims
The 2024 Kia Forte has four trims buyers can choose from, and each is packed with features that you might only find on other brands at higher price points. New for 2024, the Gt-Line offers more standard driver assistance features.
FE
The 2024 Kia Forte FE has a starting MSRP of $19,790. At that price, it features a 2-liter four-cylinder engine that’s capable of 147 horsepower and has fuel economy ratings of 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. A CVT transmission comes standard. As for it’s wheelbase, you’ll get 15-inch wheels.
Important safety features like an 8-inch rear camera display and forward collision-avoidance assist come standard on this base trim level. Other safety features include lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning. It also has dual-zone automatic temperature control and, more importantly, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities.
Being a base trim, it only has a mid-tier four-speaker audio system. Additionally, there are no available package options that buyers can add to the Forte FE.
LXS
The 2024 Kia Forte LXS bumps the price up a little bit to $19,990 and includes split-folding seats, 16-inch alloy wheels and soft-touch doors. These features may not be worth an upgrade to you but for another $500 you can get the LXS Technology package which adds safe exit assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.
GT-Line
Further up the line is the 2024 Kia Forte S. With an MSRP of $21,690, buyers will find upgraded cloth sports seats with synthetic leather side bolstering and white stitching. Inside the cabin sees some further upscale refinement with a sporty leather-wrapped steering wheel. The infotainment system is upgraded to a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as navigation. Meanwhile, the audio system upgrades to a six-speaker stereo.
Other new tech includes proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and a hands-free power trunk.
The exterior of the car adds front fog lights, heated side view mirrors, LED daytime running lights, and LED rear combination lamps. Safety features include blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and lane change assist. New for the 2024 model year, you’ll also get driver assistance features like cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, and highway driving assistance.
The optional GT-Line Premium package includes an eight-speaker premium Harmon Kardon audio system, wireless device charging, a sunroof, highway driving assist and more for $1,700. For $1,00, you can get the GT-Line Sport Premium package with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, additional USB ports, and heated and ventilated front seats with upgraded synthetic leather upholstery.
GT
Last on the list is the GT trim. Available for $24,490, this sports model boasts an upgraded 201-horsepower turbo-four engine and a sports-tuned rear suspension. It has a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, 18-inch wheels, and paddle shifters. It also comes with an additional rear-seat USB port and wireless device charging.
A manual version of this model starts at $25,190. This version gains a six-speed manual transmission instead of the CVT. Features include a sunroof and fully synthetic leather upholstery with heated front seats. There’s also a premium eight-speaker Harman Kardon stereo and rear parking sensors, in addition to everything else in the CVT version.
However, if you want the additional features of the manual version but can’t drive Stickshift, you can opt for the GT2 package for $1,900. That will add all of the features in the GT Manual trim.
