2024 Nissan Altima: A Trim Comparison

by Car Digest
November 3, 2023

The Nissan Altima is a solid best-selling mid-size sedan that offers comfort without the expense of a luxury car. It’s similar to the Maxima, but a little smaller and not quite as posh. This year, the Altima comes updated with some exterior styling changes and additional safety features.

2024 Nissan Altima Trim Comparison

The Altima has a distinctly upscale vibe that makes it stand out on its own, especially since its 2019 redesign. The 2024 model takes everything up a notch with a refreshed exterior and new features. The hardest part of buying the awesome new Nissan Altima is choosing between the five different options.

S

The 2024 Nissan Altima S has a starting MSRP of $25,730. It’s equipped with a 188-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and front-wheel-drive powertrain. Its fuel economy ratings are 27 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. It also comes with Bluetooth capabilities, Siri Eyes Free, intelligent auto headlights, and Nissan Intelligent Key for quick and easy access to your vehicle. The Altima S also has cruise control, which is essential for long drives.

Cabin features that the driver will appreciate include a 7-inch touchscreen display with Nissan Connect and an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat. Safety features include intelligent forward and reverse collision warning, lane departure warning, driver drowsiness monitoring and automatic emergency braking. On top of this, you’ll get blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and rear parking sensors.

SV

The 2024 Nissan Altima SV starts at $26,530 for a FWD powertrain. The engine is the same as the Altima S. On the exterior, the Altima SR upgrades the wheel size to 17-inch aluminum alloy from 16 inches. For an additional $1,500, you can upgrade to all-wheel-drive. Proximity keyless entry is standard with this trim.

Inside, you’ll get a power-adjustable driver’s seat and an improved infotainment system. The SV upgrades the infotainment system to an 8-inch display model with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. You’ll also get three more USB ports and satellite radio.

SR

The 2024 Nissan Altima SR starts at $27,930 for a front-wheel-drive powertrain. For another $1,500 you can get AWD. Wheels on this trim are upgraded to 19-inch ones and there are also standard paddle shifters and sports-tuned suspension. In terms of styling, you’ll notice some sharp-looking dark exterior accents.

SL

The 2024 Nissan Altima SL starts at $32,430 and feels much more luxurious than the previous model for a number of reasons. Instead of cloth upholstery, you’ll get soft leather with front seats that are heated and power-adjustable. Dual-zone climate control and a moonroof are standard in this model as well.

The inside has a few other upgrades that make the Altima SL worth the cost, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control and navigation. Apple CarPlay is wireless with this trim and tyou’ll get wireless charging too. Other upgrades include a nine-speaker stereo and built-in Wi-Fi. Best of all, you’ll get safety features like adaptive cruise control, a surround-view parking camera, lane keeping assist and traffic sign recognition.
