For years, the Toyota Camry has remained one of the most reliable and fun sedans on the market. Offering great performance, a comfortable interior, and more high-tech features than ever before, this is the finest Camry yet.
Toyota Camry Trims
With five trims and ten configurations, the 2024 Toyota Camry has a model to fit every budget and need. The real question is: which trim will be the best investment for you?
LE
Previously, the L trim was the base trim for the Toyota Camry, but it has since been dropped from the lineup. The 2024 Toyota Camry LE has a starting MSRP of $26,420. If you want more features and something more environmentally friendly, the Camry LE also has a hybrid offering that costs $28,855.
The LE’s interior features an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat and a six-way adjustable passenger’s seat. Plus, there are two rear cup holders to accompany the two in the front. While additional cupholders may seem like small inclusions, they are the difference between having a comfortable road trip and a stained backseat. The vehicle’s infotainment system features a 7-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, a Wi-Fi hotspot and satellite radio. There’s also a six-speaker stereo and two USB ports.
With the Toyota Safety Sense suite, you’ll get driver assistance features such as lane trace assist, lane departure warning, pre-collision warning and braking, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.
SE
The 2024 Toyota Camry SE starts at $27,960 and has a bit of a sportier feel than the Camry LE. It also has some cosmetic changes, but drivers can feel the biggest difference in the cabin. Toyota crafted the seats with Sport SofTex fabric. This synthetic leather is soft to the touch while reflecting the sun to reduce heat in the summer months. Because the Camry SE uses the same engine as the Camry LE, it has the same fuel economy.
The new SE Nightshade Edition starts at $28,960, adding synthetic black leather upholstery and unique front and rear accents. The hybrid version is available for $31,390.
If you love the Camry SE but wish to get better gas mileage, you can upgrade to the 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE for $30,390. The fuel economy for the Camry Hybrid SE is rated at 44 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway. While it keeps all the upgrades found on the non-hybrid model, the Camry Hybrid SE also has an added tire-pressure monitoring system.
XLE
The 2024 Toyota Camry XLE starts at $31,170 and is much more luxurious than previous trims. Drivers may immediately notice the addition of heated, leather seating. The backup camera improves thanks to the addition of dynamic guidelines, which predict where you’ll end up. The standard engine on this trim is a 2.5L 4-cylinder.
The Camry XLE also has two other engine options including a hybrid and a V6 offering. These are marketed as two separate named models. Let’s focus on the former first. The 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE increases the price to $33,745 but it comes with the addition of a standard blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts. The Camry Hybrid XLE fuel economy is estimated at 44 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway.
The third and final engine offering on this trim is a V6, starting at $36,295. Conveniently named the 2024 Camry XLE V6. This is perfect for the driver who wants a little more power. It comes with a 3.5L V6 that’s capable of 301 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. However, the gas mileage drops to an estimated 22 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The Camry XLE V6 comes with other cosmetic changes which make it look a little sportier.
Also included in this trim are full-speed adaptive cruise control, wood interior accents, and an electric parking brake. This trim also offers a panoramic glass roof with a power tilt/slide moonroof, a surround-view parking camera system, and a 10-inch heads-up display.
XSE
The 2024 Toyota Camry XSE starts at $31,720, and looks very similar to the Camry XLE. It comes with a standard 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine that’s capable of 206 horsepower and 186 lb.-ft of torque. That’s only a mere three horsepower more than the XLE. The body also has exterior changes, which give it a sporty feel. These include the addition of LED taillights with smoke tint, a gloss-black grille with sport mesh insert, and color-keyed sport side rocker panels. Additionally, it has a sport-tuned suspension.
If you want more power, the Camry XSE also has a V6 model, which starts at $36,845. This drops the gas mileage to an estimated 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. Conversely, horsepower increases to 301 with 267 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2023 Camry XSE V6 also comes with a panoramic glass room with power tilt and slide. If you are looking for fuel efficiency, the hybrid XSE starts at $34,295.
TRD
The TRD is the ultimate performance model for the Camry. The TRD comes standard with the V6 engine and features a track-tuned sports suspension. It features larger brakes, aluminum pedals, a rear spoiler and fixed rear seat. On top of this, it has distinct styling accents you won’t find in any other trim. This trim starts at $33,845.
There is no hybrid version of the TRD. If you want something smaller with an even better fuel economy, you might want to check out the new Corolla.
