The 2024 Toyota Corolla makes its way before the start of the new year. While it has a history of being incredibly reliable and affordable, the past few Corollas scored near the bottom of the pack when it came to driving composure and included features. This year the Corolla offers terrific fuel economy and plenty of standard features that make it a practical option in a number of ways, comparable to the Honda Civic.
2024 Toyota Corolla Trims
The 2024 Toyota Corolla returns with five different trim options to choose from, including some hybrid powertrain variants. On top of that, you’ll have the option of a few packages to choose from that will provide your vehicle with a little more oomph. We break down each trim level, including the hybrid offerings, so that you know which price level includes which features.
LE
The 2024 Toyota Corolla L trim has an incredible starting price of around $22,000. It comes only as a sedan with a 169-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which gets up to 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. If you opt for the hybrid powertrain, you’ll get a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that generate a combined 138 horsepower. While this is a weaker option in terms of power, it delivers a superior fuel economy, getting you 50 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway.
The inside comes with basic features you’d expect in a 2024 car, including four USB ports, advanced voice recognition, hands-free phone abilities, and Bluetooth technology. It also comes with an integrated backup camera to make parking and backing out easier. The infotainment system features an 8-inch display and it comes equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD radio, and satellite radio. The audio system features six speakers and there’s a Wi-Fi hotspot. You’ll even get navigation which isn’t typical for a vehicle in this price range.
This trim also comes with automatic climate control, including a dust and pollen filter. This may be important for those who deal with severe allergies or asthma.
One of the best things Toyota includes with most of its vehicles is Toyota Safety Sense. This package comes with a Pre-Collision System, which includes pedestrian detection, lane departure alerts with steering assist, forward collision mitigation, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control.
Optional is the LE Convenience package that adds proximity keyless entry, push-button start, 16-inch alloy wheels and two additional safety features: blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. With the LE Premium package, you’ll get all of that plus a moonroof
SE
The 2024 Toyota Corolla SE comes with the same engine (including the hybrid option) and more features. It has a starting price of around $24,ooo for the hatchback model and $25,000 for the sedan model. One of the best features of the Corolla LE is the multi-function in-key remote, which allows all of your standard key functions as well as keyless entry. There is also a key-in-ignition warning, which will go off if you walk away from the car with the key still in the ignition.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel and sport seats proves a nice added touch of luxury. The hatchback model features 16-inch alloy wheels, while the sedan gets 18-inch alloy wheels.
The SE Premium package remains the same as in the LE, except that it doesn’t add proximity keyless entry and push-button start, because those are already standard with this trim. The Nightshade edition features a blacked-out interior and exterior, as well as bronze-finished 18-inch alloy wheels.
Hybrid XLE
The gas version of this trim was discontinued but you can get the hybrid version starting around $28,000. It includes heated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. Other standard features include a moonroof, and additional driver safety features – blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
XSE
The last option for the gasoline variants is the 2024 Toyota Corolla XSE. It has a starting price of around $28,000. In many ways, this trim is a combination of the Corolla SE and XLE trims. It comes with the sporty feel of the Corolla SE while including features like SofTex synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a moonroof, 7-inch digital gauge cluster and additional safety features: blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
A hatchback trim is available starting at $27K, and this includes LED foglights, dual-zone automatic climate control, a JBL eight-speaker audio system, and wireless device charging – among other things.
GR Corolla
The GR Corolla is available exclusively as a hatchback and comes in three different editions: Core for $36K, Circuit Edition for $43K and Morizo Edition for $50K. Each model is equipped with a 300-horsepower turbocharged three-cylinder engine, a six-speed manual transmission, and an exclusive all-wheel-drive system.
For the Core trim, most features of the SE trim carry over to this one but there also added features like upgraded brakes, 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, widened fender flares, and fog lights. You’ll also get blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Circuit Edition adds a carbon-fiber roof, a large rear spoiler, front and rear limited-slip differentials, synthetic leather upholstery and hood vents for added sports performance. It also adds luxury features like synthetic leather upholstery, eight-speaker stereo, and wireless device charging. On top of this, there are heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.
The Morizo Edition provides optimum performance by removing the back seats and speakers to save vehicle weight. It adds racing seats, however, as well as improved suspension and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
