2024 Honda Odyssey: A Trim Comparison

by Car Digest
March 31, 2024

The Honda Odyssey doesn’t offer any major changes for 2024, but there are still some incremental updates. Unfortunately, one feature you cannot expect this year is the built-in HondaVac system, which has been discontinued due to a supplier issue.

Comparing Honda Odyssey Trims

Don’t worry, however. The Odyssey still maintains a long list of family-friendly technologies that make it one of the top-performing minivans on the road. We’re here to help you figure out which 2024 Honda Odyssey is right for you.

EX

The 2024 Honda Odyssey LX starts at $37,840 and is equipped with a V6 engine that gives the driver up to 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The Odyssey LX may be the base trim, but it comes with safety features that parents will love, including a collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning. Additionally, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert come standard as well.

The inside has comfort and convenience features that make the Odyssey LX easier and more fun to drive than some previous versions. The infotainment system features an 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, and HD radio. Some of the highlights include push-button start, Bluetooth connectivity, two USB ports, and seven 160-watt speakers with a subwoofer.

Exclusive to the Odyssey, you’ll also get Honda’s Magic Slide second-row seats, along with tri-zone climate control and power-adjustable front seats for optimizing comfort and convenience.

EX-L

At $40,910, the 2024 Honda Odyssey EX-L has the same safety features as the Odyssey EX. However, for the extra money, you’ll get a little more luxury. The EX-L boasts genuine leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, for one. Additionally, you’ll get a power liftgate, a moonroof, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Other features include HomeLink and two additional USB ports.

Sport

Next up, the Sport trim starts at $41,860. Aesthetic changes include red interior LED lighting and 19-inch alloy wheels, as well as body-colored side sills. Other than that, most other features from the previous trim carry over. There are no performance upgrades in terms of the powertrain. This trim just looks sportier.

Touring

The 2024 Honda Odyssey Touring starts at $45,100 and immediately sets itself apart with a rear-seat entertainment system with two 10.2-inch displays and family-friendly features like CabinWatch, CabinTalk and Cabin Control. These features allow you to easily keep an eye on your family and communicate with them more easily. With the CabinWatch feature, you can check in on what’s happening in the back seat without turning around. A camera in the cabin roof sends a video feed to the in-dash display audio touchscreen.

Other features include a 115-volt household-style power outlet, a thrid-row USB port, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot and a hands-free tailgate. For safety and convenience, front and rear parking sensors and a satellite-linked navigation system are included as standard features.

Elite

Naturally, the 2024 Honda Odyssey Elite will be the most luxurious and most expensive option. It starts at $49,970 and is definitely worth the money if it’s in your budget. Drivers will be happy to know that the Odyssey Elite adds acoustic glass on the sliding door windows to reduce outside noise greatly. That also makes this trim perfect for someone who frequently travels on the highway.

Additionally, the Odyssey Elite has heated and ventilated front seats, so you and your front passenger are comfortable in any weather. Further, the trim comes with a 550-watt premium audio system with 11 speakers, including a subwoofer. On top of this, you’ll get blue LED ambient interior lighting.
