The redesigned Subaru Crosstrek has arrived. The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek can take you anywhere you need to go, now with standard all-wheel drive and improved performance.
Subaru Crosstrek Trims
Along with an attractive interior, this vehicle has a high ground clearance and plenty of features for a long drive. We’re comparing the trims to help you decide which one is right for your next adventure, whether it’s on the paved road or off the beaten path.
Crosstrek
The base 2024 Subaru Crosstrek focuses on affordability, so it isn’t a surprise that this trim is just $24,995. It’s equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s capable of 152-horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. This allows drivers to tow a maximum of 1,500 pounds, ideal for small trailers. With this engine, the Crosstrek gets up to 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. All trims feature All-Wheel Drive, so drivers have maximum control.
Subaru lets you go where your heart wants, including off-road. For this reason, the Crosstrek comes with 8.7-inches of ground clearance and raised roof rails for extra storage. This trim also comes with a dual 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and a 4.2-inch driver information display. Additionally, there is dual-zone automatic climate control. Listen to satellite radio or HD Radio on your four-speaker audio system, or connect your own electronic device via Bluetooth.
The Crosstrek features a bountiful list of safety features this year. Among the included features are forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist and adaptive cruise control, among others.
Some optional features offered are wireless device charging for $399, as well an auto-dimming rearview mirror and garage door opener for $405.
Premium
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Premium starts at $26,145. This second trim level upgrades select features, including upgraded cloth upholstery and the infotainment system to a larger 11.6-inch touchscreen. The Premium trim provides additional USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and two more speakers than the previous trim, bringing the total to six speakers.
LED fog lights, keyless entry, and push-button start are other notable features of this trim.
The OP 14 package, for $2,245, adds some comfort features like a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a power moonroof, and heated front seats. It also gives you two notable driver assistance features: blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
Sport
The Sport trim starts at $28,995 and comes with a CVT transmission and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. It offers sportier styling elements such as heated front seats with yellow accents and contrast stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a shift knob. On top of that are 18-inch alloy wheels.
This trim gives you the option of the OP 22 package for $1,920. The package is virtually the same as the OP 14 package but goes by a different name to correspond with the trim.
Limited
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited starts at $30,895 and comes with the same engine included in the Sport trim. This trim has several more luxury features that may make you think you’re driving a luxury brand. The first notable feature is leather-trimmed seating with orange contrast stitching. To add to this, the driver’s seat allows power adjustment, and the shifter handle and automatic transmission handle are also wrapped in leather with orange stitching. The front seats are heated as well.
Reverse collision warning, reverse automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert all come standard with this trim, giving you all possible driver assistance features.
With the OP 32 package, for $1,795, you can substitute the standard system for a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and add a power moonroof. The OP 33 package adds all of that plus navigation for an additional $2,445.
Wilderness
The Wilderness trim is the off-road model starting at $31,995. The Wilderness trim offers a higher ground clearance – 9.3 inches – as well as all-terrain tires, upgraded suspension, and front skid plates. This version also gives you more driver-assistance features and off-road drive modes. Its unique interior and exterior design accents also set it apart from the other trims.
Upgrades to the seating include water-resistant upholstery and heating capability for the front ones. As for the rest of the features included with this trim, you’ll mostly get the inclusions of the Sport trim.
For $2,270, you can add the 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and moonroof.
Crosstrek Hybrid
The 2024 Crosstrek Hybrid trim has not yet been announced. However, it is likely to be the same as the 2023 model. The plug-in hybrid featured a 148-horsepower hybrid powertrain, an automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. We have a helpful explainer of the different types of hybrid cars that seem confusing to you. Essentially, this plug-in hybrid Crosstrek has a battery that needs to be plugged in to charge up to its full potential. When fully charged, the Crosstrek Hybrid can drive up to 17 miles of electric-only range that is free from emissions!
After that, the gas engine kicks in, and the Crosstrek Hybrid operates like a more traditional battery electric vehicle like the Toyota Prius. It offers some of the benefits of a fully electric vehicle (no emissions or gasoline) with some of the benefits of a traditional gas engine (longer range). It’s also important to note that this is one of the few hybrid crossovers on the market that are available with an AWD powertrain standard. While operating on fuel, the Crosstrek earns a fuel economy of about 35 mpg combined.
In most respects, the hybrid Crosstrek has pretty much the same standard features as the Crosstrek Limited.
