2024 Jeep Wrangler: A Trim Comparison

by Car Digest
April 8, 2024

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is the quintessential off-road SUV. First introduced in 1986, the Wrangler has become one of the most recognizable cars on the road. Everything from the design to the name itself sparks a vivid picture in the heads of consumers. It’s like the Beatle of Jeeps. And each year since it was first produced, it just keeps getting better and better.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Comparison

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler dazzles with incredible off-road performance, a refreshed interior and exterior, along with impressive specifications. Discover engine specs, comfort features, safety features and much more as we compare all eight available trims in the Jeep Wrangler lineup.

It should also be noted that the Wrangler is more customizable than ever before. Not only are there a dozen of color options to choose from, but you’ll also have a variety of optional features and packages too.

Sport

The Wrangler Sport is the base trim of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler. It boasts a 285-horsepower V6 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission and also has four-wheel drive. Other features include a two-speed transfer case, skid plates, and a Sunrider folding soft-top. For $1,500, you can opt in for an eight-speed automatic transmission, or for $3,000 – eTorque mild-hybrid assist system with an eight-speed automatic.

In the interior are manual windows and door locks, a push-button start ignition, rearview camera and three 12-volt power outlets. The new infotainment system consists of a 12-inch display, Bluetooth, a USB port and an eight-speaker audio system. Air conditioning and wireless smartphone integration features (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay) are now standard with the sport model. Also new is a 3.5-inch black and white driver info display.

Get the Sport model starting at $31,895 for the two-door model and $35,895 for the four-door model. However, this trim also offers a 270-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine at an additional cost ($2,500). Among the other optional features are a tow hitch receiver, all-terrain tires, keyless entry, and cold-air intake – all of these things can add to your cost.

Sport S

The Sport S starts at $35,990 for the two-door model and $39,990 for the four-door model. Additionally, you can opt for the four-door plug-in-hybrid powertrain, priced at $49,995. This option generates 375 horsepower and gives you the equivalent of 49 mpg.

The Sport S comes standard with air-conditioning, power windows and locks, and remote keyless entry. Most of the same features are carried over from the Sport trim. A 12-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are all standard.

There are, however, several optional features and packages you can choose from that are not available with the Sport trim. For one, you can get a 12-speaker Alpine stereo. A Convenience Group package is easily the best deal at $1,995. It adds heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, automatic climate control, remote start, a universal garage door opener, and proximity keyless entry.

The Safety Group adds to your vehicle a suite of useful safety features. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors are all part of this package.

Willys

You can get the Willys trim starting at $39,990 for the two-door model or $43,990 for the four-door (or $55,330 for the hybrid). This trim adds 33-inch off-road tires, fog lights and LED headlights, while combining the features of both the Sport S and Willys Sport. Trailer towing equipment and unique styling set this trim apart as well.

Sahara

With the four-door-only Sahara, starting at $48,420 or $57,440 for the hybrid option, you get plenty of optional features to choose from along with all th standard features of the Sport S trim. Among the standard features include 8-inch machined-face wheels, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster.

Options include leather upholstery and power-adjustable front seats. A 12-speaker stereo, HD radio, Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation and a front-facing off-road camera are just some of the other standard pieces of equipment with this model.

High Altitude

Next, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler High Altitude trim starts at $66,995. This model includes all of the features in the Sahara, as well as Nappa leather upholstery, a hard top, 20-inch wheels, side steps and additional safety features. The added safety features include blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors.

It should be noted that the Sahara trim is only offered with the hybrid powertrain.

Rubicon

The first Rubicon trim starts at $45,990 for the two-door model. Otherwise, the four-door model is $49,990, while the hybrid is $61,180. This off-road-focused trim includes most of the features from the Sport S trim in addition to rock rails, a sway bar, locking front and rear differentials, and an upgraded 4WD and transfer case. The Rubicon also comes equipped with heavy-duty shock absorbers, rock sliders, 17-inch bedlock wheels, and 33-inch all-terrain tires.

Rubicon X

The second Rubicon is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X, ranging from $55,490 to $69,680 – depending on your choice of two-door or four-door, gas or hybrid. It includes everything with the base Rubicon model but with added luxury features like Nappa leather and a body-color hardtop. Most notably, you can opt for an automatic transmission that comes paired with 35-inch tires.

Rubicon 392

Lastly, if you are looking for the most powerful and luxurious Wrangler of the bunch, you’ll want the Rubicon 392, which starts at $88,190. Like the Sahara, it is a four-door-only model. The Rubicon 392 offers unique interior and exterior accents and most of what is included in the High Altitude trim. The most impressive inclusion, however, would have to be the V8 engine that delivers a whopping 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

As for the interior, you’ll get sporty red and black Nappa leather upholstery and all the contents of the previously mentioned Convenience Group package. All safety features are standard with this trim, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
